On iPhone, the on-device content filter can only be switched on when the device is supervised and carries the managed GetBored filter profile. This is an Apple platform requirement — the app can't enable the filter by itself on a standard device. That one-time setup happens during GetBored onboarding, which is also when you receive your activation code. If your device has been set up and you still see “Protection missing”, use the app's “Download & Install Profile” button, or contact us.
Sign in to the GetBored dashboard with the same Apple ID you use in the app. Create a list, pick the websites and apps to block, choose which of your devices it applies to, and apply it — your iPhone picks the rules up automatically. “Your device, your rules”: change or delete a list any time and the phone follows.
No. The filter inspects connections only on your device to decide allow/block, and never uploads your browsing activity. See our Privacy Policy for details.
