GetBored is a self-control app: you choose the websites and apps that distract you, and GetBored blocks them on your own device. The short version: filtering happens on your device, we store only what your account needs to work, and we sell nothing.
Account. You sign in with Sign in with Apple. We receive your Apple account identifier and an email address — your real one or, if you use Hide My Email, an Apple private relay address. We use it to identify your account and to contact you about your service.
Your block lists. The websites and apps you choose to block, the names and descriptions of your lists, and which of your devices each list applies to. This is the product's core data and is stored on GetBored's own servers, scoped to your account.
Device registration. A device identifier, device model, OS version, and app version for each device you connect, so your rules reach the right device.
Diagnostics. If the app hits certain errors, it uploads its own recent log entries and crash reports to GetBored's servers so we can fix problems. These logs never include your browsing history or the contents of your network traffic.
Your browsing history is never uploaded. The content filter evaluates network requests locally, on your device, only to decide allow or block against your own rules. We use no third-party analytics, no advertising SDKs, and no tracking. We do not sell or share your data with anyone.
Your account data is stored on GetBored's servers. Filtering decisions are made entirely on your device by Apple's Network Extension technology.
You can delete your account at any time from the app (Account → Delete Account). This removes your account, your block lists, and your device registrations from our servers. You can also email us and we will delete your data.
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the effective date above.

If you ask to be notified when a phone is available, we store the email address you enter, the phone model you chose, and the time of your request on GetBored's own servers in the EU. We use this only to send one availability email — no newsletter. We delete the entry after that email is sent, and earlier on request: contact tushru2004@gmail.com.
